Assistant Professor Lunch and Learn

The Assistant Professors Lunch & Learn on Friday, October 16 will be on grant writing and research funding. Securing financial support has become increasingly challenging in today’s research environment, and strategic navigation of the funding landscape is more critical than ever. Discovering creative approaches to securing support can greatly help to turn your funding failures into funding successes. This interactive session offers an opportunity to ask questions in a supportive setting while connecting with colleagues across campus.

Part 1 of the event covers general information led by Jessica Lawrence and her team from The Strategic Interdisciplinary Research (SIR) division in Purdue’s Office of Research. Part 2 will feature speed coaching roundtable discussions focused around specific funding agencies (NSF, NIH, USDA, etc.). Each table will be facilitated by faculty who can share their experiences and the realistic ups and downs of grant writing while offering practical tips.
