Research Impact

Professor Mohammadi’s research is focused on the applications of nanotechnology in electronic, electromechanical and bioengineering systems. His research in electronic systems includes modeling, fabrication and characterization of nanoscale devices for low power, high power and high frequency applications. Additionally, his group is involved in developing CMOS-based circuits for RF and microwave systems and application of post-processing techniques for integration and packaging of electronic systems. Prof. Mohammadi is also pursuing research in vacuum electronic devices for microwave and mm-wave frequencies based on micro- and nano-fabrication technologies. In the area of electromechanical systems, his group is involved in fabrication and characterization of nanoelectromechanical resonators based on carbon nanotubes and nanowires. In the area of bioengineering systems, Prof Mohammadi is involved in fabrication and characterization of nano- and micro-fluidic devices for detection of chemical agents and biomolecules.
